''Investigating spatial evolution

through morphomodeling''

About

MONALOGIC

"How spatial intention remains legible while mutating"
MONA is a Toronto-based spatial design initiative investigating how space evolves over time through use, transformation, and changing requirements, without losing its underlying logic. Rather than treating form as a fixed outcome or style, design is approached as a continuous process shaped by relationships, sequences, and spatial decisions.
At its core, morphomodeling frames design as an evolving system, allowing spatial intent to change through controlled transformation while remaining clear, coherent, and traceable as conditions shift. This approach operates consistently across new and existing buildings and interiors, guiding both emergence and transformation without imitation. Across all contexts, the focus remains on long-term legibility rather than short-term expression.
MONA investigates spatial evolution through morphomodeling, keeping intent clear through experience.
MONA explores how ideas become spatial.
Design thinking, research, and visualization make spatial questions legible.

MONA was initiated by Tansu Acimert, PhD, and is shaped by over two decades of international architectural design experience across design consultancy, diverse project scales, and design education. The initiative advances through spatial design research and visualization across evolving contexts.

Portfolio

MONAGRAPH

SERVICES

MONA works independently or alongside existing project teams, supporting clients and consultants with spatial analysis, strategic advisory, and decision-support visualization, while providing an additional layer of spatial clarity and communication at various project stages.

Design, Research & Consultancy

Advisory support across early and ongoing phases of the project lifecycle, focused on understanding spatial potential, structure, and decision-making. MONA supports clients and project teams in clarifying feasibility, spatial capacity and flow, and operational logic for real estate developments, transportation terminals, and renovation or adaptation scenarios.

Spatial Feasibility

  • Development potential

  • Spatial capacity

  • Feasibility & spatial strategy

Site & Context

  • Contextual analysis

  • Site analysis

Spatial Strategy & Logic

  • Program structure and spatial arrangement

  • Spatial sequencing

  • Layout, relationships, and hierarchy

Visualization

Analytical and communicative visual tools used to make spatial ideas, feasibility options, and design decisions legible across different project stages. Visualization supports real estate development; office and retail concepts; residential renovation; and transformation scenarios.

Spatial Narratives

  • Interior and exterior visualizations

  • Conceptual and diagrammatic representation

  • Comparative and decision-support visuals
